In 1799, Ephraim Quinby purchased 441 acres from the Connecticut Land
Company. Quinby named his
town Warren, in honor of
Moses Warren, surveyor of the Connecticut Western Reserve.
He then
donated four acres in the center of the community
to be used as a village square.
Today, it is known as Courthouse Park.
In the summer months,
Noon-in-the-Park takes place on Friday at the noon hour. Food vendors
set up in the Park offering an array of menus. And, live musical entertainment
to suit every
taste is provided in part by the American Federation of Musicians.
So, bring your lawn chair and enjoy your lunch!
